A number of JPF language consultants attended the AFMLTA Conference in Canberra on July 5-8. Two of our consultants, Yasuhiro Nakagawa and Cathy Jonak, led a session introducing creative uses for IWBs in the Japanese-language classroom, presenting resources created by the team at JPF Sydney and showing ways to incorporate them into a lesson plan. You can find the PowerPoint from the presentation here.

There were also interesting sessions on languages other than Japanese. A particularly inspiring example was a presentation on teaching practices for German based on CLIL by Lee-Anne Grunwald from Mount Rogers Primary School, which Japanese teachers too would find very useful.
