Our nursery manager celebrates 15 years service

Over 21 years ago, school leaver Luke Hazelton was offered the opportunity of working at Trewithen Gardens, as part of the government's Youth Training Scheme (YTS). It was an experience that inspired a career and this month Luke celebrates 15 years service in the nursery - 11 of those as its manager.

November's plant of the month is...

Euonymus cornutus var. quinquecornutus

This rare small shrub has a graceful, loose, weeping habit. The unusual flowers develop into fruit that appear as strange horn like extensions. They have been described a looking like "A Jester's Cap".
