The Board Bulletin July 2014

A Letter from USBA's President, Carolyn White

Utah School Board Members,

Your USBA Leadership Team has just returned home from the NSBA Pacific Region Meeting held in Seattle, Washington with the Washington School Boards Association as the host. This gives us an opportunity to share and discuss those things that are pertinent in the education arena with the leaders of this region. Time is spent on leadership training where we develop better and more efficient ways to help our own associations. I personally gain much from the opportunity to attend these important meetings.

Kristi Swett prepared a resolution to present at the Pacific Region Meeting dealing with poverty and intergenerational poverty. She spent much time in researching and preparing this document. It was brought before the Policy and Resolution Committee at the meeting and was passed on to the group of delegates at large.
