Loss Control Safety Spotlight

Certain school district professions must deal with possible excessive noise on a frequent basis. In this picture, OSHA Consultant Evelyn Partner measures the decibel level in the Richfield High School band class, as Business Administrator Pat Wilson looks on. Kudos to Sevier School District for being proactive in their safety program.

In light of the recent events surrounding the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., the American School Board Journal posted a collection of articles regarding school security and safety. To view the online anthology click here.

 

During the USBA State Conference those that completed the Level I MBA by Dec. 14th will be awarded and recognized! Congratulations to all of you who were able to complete the Level I MBA!

Congratulations to JoDee Sundberg she was selected as the Pacific Region Nominee for the National School Boards Association Board of Directors, she will be officially elected in April at the National Conference in San Diego.

The Statewide School Community Council Conference that was originally going to be held on Nov. 9th but was postponed due to weather will be held on Thursday Jan. 24th at Crescent View Middle School (11150 S. 300 E. Sandy).

Please organize teams from each of your school community councils to attend this exceptional training opportunity. This is a fantastic opportunity for networking and training with other school community council members from around the state.

Attending this conference will meet one of your MBA Level I requirements.
