"I really believe that, as human beings, we have an innate need to explore, to see what's around the corner."
- Jimmy Chin
Stay Warm
Autumn is here! If you haven't taken a sunset picture from the alpine this year, fall is the perfect season to do it. Don't let the temperature stop you from getting into the backcountry. If you're missing some gear, our shop has everything you need, whether it's a tent, a stove, a sleeping bag or more. Get out there, stay warm and enjoy the crisp, cool fall mountain air.
Devold Merino Wool - Outfitting adventurers since 1882
If you're looking to add some merino wool base layers to your fall hiking kit, Devold is here! This family owned Norwegian brand is now available in Canada, and we're excited to have them in the shop. Try their 100% merino, or if you have skin sensitivities we've got their synthetic-backed Duo Active base layers. Our team has been testing Devold around the Chilliwack River Valley, and the initial feedback has been terrific. For more information, swing by the store or visit Devold's website.
Coquihalla Summit Recreation Area
The Coquihalla Summit Recreation Area features amazing trails, ridges and peaks to explore. Located approximately 100 km Northeast of Chilliwack along the Coquihalla highway, the park offers great opportunities for adventures ranging from single day hikes to multi-day camping trips. Whether you decide to hike Needle peak, Yak peak or Flatiron, you will be rewarded with some stunning views from the alpine. Feel free to swing by our store, pick up a map of the area and chat with our staff. For more information, you can visit the BC park website.
Wigwam Socks
"One can never have enough socks!" said the wise wizard Dumbledore. We're pretty sure he would have loved Wigwam socks, which are all about comfort and performance, with USA sourced materials and manufacturing. And just like our other sock brands, Wigwam offers a lifetime guarantee on all their socks. For more information visit their website, or drop by the store to see our selection.

Don't let the rain get you down!
The rainy season is upon us, which means that it is time to refresh your jacket's waterproofing. Get your Nikwax DUO-Pack, which includes both Nikwax Tech Wash (for cleaning your jacket) and the TX Direct Wash-In (for restoring its Durable Water Repellent coating).
Using Nikwax will maintain the breathable and waterproof performance of your jacket by preventing build-up of oil and dirt (which damage the waterproofing layer) and restoring the face fabric's water repellency (so the waterproof membrane has to do less work). For more information, check out the Nikwax website

For some general information on how to maintain a variety of gear and apparel, check out Patagonia's Repair & Care guides.
