End of Life Forum

The public is invited to attend a free forum, “End of Life: Public Policy for the Terminally Ill,” on Feb. 23, in the auditorium at the state Capitol.

The topic of medical aid in dying, also known as physician assisted suicide, has garnered a lot of publicity during the current legislative session, and the forum features a panel of experts moderated by retired Judge Michael Broderick.

Panelists include Hawaii State Attorney General Douglas Chin and members of the Physician Advisory Council for Aid in Dying, Hawaii’s Partnership for Appropriate and Compassionate Care, and Compassion and Choices Hawaii.

This event is sponsored by the University of Hawaii Public Policy Center and the Matsunaga Institute for Peace. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m., and the forum starts at 7:00 p.m.
