HAH member hospitals participating in the Premier Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (or HIIN) are eligible to receive free TeamSTEPPS© Master training.
TeamSTEPPS is an evidence-based, comprehensive teamwork training system designed to improve quality and safety in healthcare, and is rooted in more than 30 years of research on teams and team performance. It was developed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and the Department of Defense.
The teamwork system offers a powerful solution for improving collaboration and communication in facilities, as teamwork has been found to be a key patient safety initiative that can transform the culture in healthcare.
Premier and HAH are offering this two-day Master Trainer course in Honolulu at no cost to participating HIIN hospitals and Affinity Team members. It will take place on Jan. 24 and 25 at the Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel at 2005 Kalia Road in Honolulu.
