GGCC Employment Law Workshop is Tomorrow!

The GGCC, in cooperation with its Non-Profit Group, has invited Marc Engel an employment attorney at Lerch, Early & BrewerChartered, to discuss Employment Law with ALL GGCC Members, so you can understand and comply with the following laws.

13th Annual Wine Tasting: Thursday, May 19

The GGCC will hold its 13th Annual Beer Tasting at the Kentlands Mansion. Each ticket includes a wine-tasting glass and tastings. This year’s wine tasting features a guided wine tasting tutorial four featured wines compliments of Pinky & Pepe of Pinky and Pepe’s Grape Escape. The wine will be paired with delicious food from Asia Nine & Savory Gourmet Catering, fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate will be served compliments of the Melting Pot Gaithersburg, bundtinis by Nothing Bundt Cakes and more! Cost: Tickets are $35 for GGCC Members & First-Time Visitors; and $65 for Returning Non-Members.   • CONGRATULATIONS to BlackRock Center for the Arts Executive Director Krista Bradley, who has been selected as the recipient of the 2016 Montgomery Women’s Rising Star Award—an award that honors and memorializes the life of Phyllis Campbell Newsome, a visionary community activist and a founding member of Montgomery Women. The Montgomery Women’s Rising Star Award is given annually to a woman who has shown leadership and potential to make a significant contribution to the Montgomery County community.

  • Matan Companies recently hosted a food drive for the Manna Food Center. The drive, which was held from February 15th – February 26th at Matan’s 270 Corporate Center and Milestone Business Park properties, yielded a substantial donation wherein 1,188 pounds of dry and canned goods were collected for individuals and families in need. In total, over the past 8 years, Matan Companies has collected over 6,700 pounds of food for the Manna Food Center.
