Legislative Update!

Proposed Mandatory Paid Sick Leave in Montgomery County. Legislation has been proposed that will require ALL employers to provide paid "sick and safe leave" to ALL employees, including part-time and tipped workers. Bill 60-14 would require an employer to provide earned sick and safe leave at a rate of at least 1 hour for every 30 hours an employee works in the County up to 56 hours in a calendar year.

At this point we don’t know how many Chamber members this would impact and would like to get your feedback. If you haven’t already done so, please take a moment to complete this very brief survey to help us determine if this is an issue that pertains to you.
