  • 2014 was a great year for Apex Home Loans Apex in Action program. They have a strong tradition of community involvement and surpassed their goal of 1500 volunteer hours, well before the end of the year. In 2014, their employees served over 2,220 hours as volunteers at a variety of organizations such as A Wider Circle, Junior Achievement, Turning the Page, Hebrew Home, Toys for Tots, Course for the Cause, Community Services for Autistic Adults and Children, and Interfaith Works. Congratulations on this accomplishment! 
  • Make a New Year resolution to volunteer at Manna Food Center. Volunteers (17 years of age or older) are needed to help with a variety of tasks geared towards creating boxes of fresh food that our clients will receive on that same day. Shifts are available 9am - 3pm, Monday-Friday. For more information, contact volunteer@mannafood.org and indicate DISTRO in subject line.
  • CONGRATULATIONS to City of Gaithersburg Council Member Mike Sesma who was elected to the National League of Cities Board of Directors and will play a key role in guiding the nation’s largest and most representative membership and advocacy organization for city officials. In his role on the Board, Council Member Sesma will meet throughout the year to guide NLC’s strategic direction and set the organization’s advocacy priorities and operational goals.

The Young Professional Groups from the Gaithersburg-Germantown, Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase, and the Greater Silver Spring Chambers of Commerce, along with Leadership Montgomery's Emerging Leaders program, invite you to meet and mingle with other young professionals from Montgomery County and the surrounding areas.
