It's still winter but we're planning for summer. BrainU Institute 2015 will take place on the UofM Twin Cities Campus in Minneapolis from July 27 through August 7, 2015.

What do participants receive? Two weeks (80 hours) of instruction and lab/classroom/project time, all BrainU lesson materials printed, tours of working neuroscience labs, access to leading scientists in the field, opportunities to network with other science teachers, etc.

Applications are being accepted now. To apply online, visit

We are holding 5 seats open for K-8 teachers, who will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis. Please direct any inquiries about registration eligibility to BrainU coordinator Katrina Schleisman at schl0299@umn.edu.

Please join us in welcoming Astrid Schmied to the BrainU team! Astrid started working with BrainU soon after her arrival in Minnesota. She came here to the University to pursue a PhD in educational psychology with the focus on learning and cognition. Bead Neuron and Altered Reality lessons
Próximamente, Â¡las lecciones estarán en español!
We're excited to announce that Astrid is already focused on her first project for BrainU -- translating into Spanish the lessons available on our website. The first lessons to be translated are Bead Neuron and Altered Reality, two of our most popular lesson plans.
We'd like your help in determining which lesson to translate next. Please vote for the lesson you'd like to have in Spanish -- we'll tally the votes and announce the results on our home page and on Facebook.
