Is the MSW the new MBA?

My recent post on Fast Company on how social work training could be put to good use in companies seems to have hit a nerve, collecting dozens of comments and over 10.2K 'likes' on Facebook!

I also reviewed former BP CEO John Browne's new book, The Glass Closet: Why Coming Out is Good Business, for strategy+business. (Spoiler alert: a compelling and worthwhile read, but I couldn't embrace his central exhortation that LGBT employees should come out at work. Also, I wondered whether Browne could have helped change the laws and attitudes that he says kept him in the closet for so long, such as in Russia.)

Coming up

Join former Shell chairman Sir Mark Moody-Stuart, Wharton professor Witold Henisz and me for a free webinar hosted by Globescan on October 27th.

For those of you also in New York City, I'll speak at Columbia's Earth Institute on October 23rd.

If you'll be at SXSW Eco, the COMMIT!Forum, BSR, Net Impact, or any of the other events on my website, please let me know!

Listen

I was a guest on Green is Good radio, and the Bard MBA Sustainable Friday series.
