Wynnewood, PA October 11, 2016 Renovus Capital Partners (“Renovus”) announced the merger of its portfolio company, Cooperative Strategies LLC, and DeJong-Richter, LLC.  Cooperative Strategies is an Irvine, CA-based provider of consulting services to K-12 schools primarily in California and Colorado.  The Company uses demographic projections to help schools identify their facility needs and then access funding for school construction through state programs and municipal bond offerings.  The merger with DeJong-Richter significantly deepens the Company’s expertise in facility planning while expanding its geographic reach across the country.  The combined firms will operate under the Cooperative Strategies name.

DeJong-Richter, based in Hilliard, Ohio, is a nationally-recognized facility planning firm.  The firm’s advanced approach to facilities planning combines key data analysis with community outreach.  With clients across the nation, the firm is known for its educational assessments that help schools design facilities that reflect the unique needs of their students.  The firm places heavy emphasis on community engagement in order to understand the dynamics and desires of each of its clients and their communities.

Tracy Richter, Chief Executive Officer of  DeJong-Richter, commented: “This is an exciting opportunity to combine two firms committed to providing the highest quality learning environments.  Cooperative Strategies' expertise in financial analysis, demographic projections and facility needs is an ideal complement to our educational approach to planning.”

Benjamin Dolinka, Chief Executive Officer of Cooperative Strategies added: "The addition of DeJong-Richter and their talented staff allows us to incorporate some of the most refined techniques that have been practiced across the nation.  Nothing can replace firsthand experience and we are excited to share their expertise with our clients.”

Brad Whitman, Founding Partner of Renovus concluded: “Combining these two companies creates a true national player in educational facility consulting.  This is a highly fragmented market, and no one else in the marketplace can match the depth and breadth of Cooperative Strategies’ expertise and resources.”

About Cooperative Strategies
Cooperative Strategies, headquartered in Irvine, CA, formerly known as the Dolinka Group, LLC was renamed in July 2016 as the result of newly-defined company values, a transition from an individually-owned company to a partner-owned organization, and expansion to provide services nationwide.  For more than two decades, the firm has focused on providing California school districts with comprehensive services for the planning and financing of facilities construction and improvements.  As part of its transition to Cooperative Strategies, the firm committed to expanding its resources as necessary to offer its clients the most advanced solutions available for facilities planning.  Cooperative Strategies opened a Littleton, Colorado office last year and has been providing facilities planning services to a number of school districts in Colorado.
