On October 17th, 2014, Florida State University’s Billion Dollar Campaign Kick-Off event took place at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.

The Florida State University Art History Department was well represented this year at the Southeastern College Art Conference (SECAC) and other conference venues in the Southeast, with fourteen current students and recent alumni giving presentations in the past month.

INTERIOR DESIGN

The Department of Interior Design opened a show titled PROCESS on October 24 in the William Johnston Gallery. The show features studio process work by interior design students.

The School of Dance would like to take this opportunity to recognize and celebrate the legacy of Dorothy Clifford who passed away at her home on September 23, 2014. They also will feature An Evening of Dance on November 13 to November 15.

The closing reception of the exhibition Quarto: Four Years of Artists’ Books by Resident Artists at the Small Craft Advisory Press is on November 1, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Florida State University Facility for Arts Research.

FSU/Asolo Conservatory students Josh James, Lisa Woods and Kelsey Petersen in The Water Engine, which opens in The Jane B. Cook Theatre at the FSU Center for the Performing Arts on November 4, 2014.

First year School of Dance MA candidate, Heather Boni, joined AXIS Dance Company, a physically-integrated repertory company, as an engaged observer throughout their October residency at MANCC.

Master Craftsman Studio has recently acquired a completely portable hot shop. This Ford Econoline van has been converted to accommodate two crucibles, a glory hole and two annealing kilns.
