Equinox is a working band which plays in local jazz venues and performs for private functions. The band also plays, with an invited guest, at The Four Horseshoes on the first Tuesday of each month.

The Four Horseshoes

Old Reading Road
Sherfield on Loddon
RG27 2EX
Landlord:  Scott Miles
Tel: 01256 882296

The Four Horseshoes is only seconds away from the roundabout at Sherfield on the A33, which is approx 10 miles from Reading or 5 miles from Basingstoke.

The Four Horseshoes has always played an important part in the life of Sherfield on Loddon. Dating back to the sixteenth century with nineteenth century alterations, it is a timber-framed building with later brick cladding. It was a coaching inn with an adjoining single storey outbuilding which was the stable and coach house. It is a Grade 2 listed building.

'The Shoes' has now reopened for business under the new ownership of local man Scott Miles and Julie Rossi. Scott has lived in the village all his life and has always played an active role in the village.

The aim is to serve excellent home cooked food at reasonable prices in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, and to make the pub the epitome of a village 'local'.

The Skittle Alley is a popular and versatile venue and skittles with good food and friends is a fun evening. However, the room can also be used for parties, wedding receptions, family gatherings, and corporate and social events (or a children’s tea party with a difference!). There is also a good-sized beer garden at the rear of the pub and plenty of parking.

Food is served from 6.30pm to 9.00pm. If you wish to eat, it's best to book a table, so please contact Scott, Julie or one of the members of the team on  01256 882296 or
e-mail: warmwelcome@thefourhorseshoessherfield.co.uk

Scott, Julie and the team look forward to welcoming you at 'The Shoes'.
