Dear Community of Practice Members,

As you know, positive student mental health is critical for academic and personal success throughout an individual’s post-secondary education.  As such, students, staff, faculty, administrators and community members are increasingly recognizing the importance of designing supportive environments to enable students to thrive.  Specifically, policies, practices, university culture, and academic settings require systemic approaches with all members of the campus community contributing to the dialogue and action.

As students are vital to our Community of Practice working towards creating a healthy post-secondary culture, we are hosting a Provincial Student Event in conjunction with our upcoming Social Learning & Launch Event.  We are inviting all student leaders who are interested in promoting mental health on campus to join us for a strategic planning session with the newly formed group of student leaders and recent alumni from campuses across British Columbia.

Please forward this invitation to student leaders on your campus or within your organization who might be interested in getting involved with Healthy Minds/Healthy Campuses.  Scroll down to learn more about our upcoming events and register today!

Provincial Student Event:
Mapping a Healthy Post-Secondary Culture

Dear Student Leaders and Recent Alumni,
  • Interested in promoting mental health on your campus?
  • Looking to connect with other students from across the province who share similar interests and ambitions?
  • Want to help formalize the structure of the student leaders and recent alumni group and determine key priorities for the upcoming year?
If so, we invite you join us at the upcoming provincial student event, Mapping a Healthy Post-Secondary Culture on Saturday January 24th, 2015.

Click "Register Now" to view further event details and register to confirm your attendance.  At this event, we will map the journey to creating vibrant and healthy campus communities.  Students will have the opportunity to connect face-to-face and determine the future structure and function of the provincial student group.  As this is a brand new group that will be setting key priorities in campus mental health, ALL student leaders across the province are invited to get involved.

We also encourage all students to register for the Social Learning & Launch Event, which will be taking place in the same location on Friday January 23rd, 2015 (see further information below).
