Latest news from Walk on Wales, supporting the Welsh Guards Afghanistan Appeal and Combat Stress
Walk on Wales

Following our celebrations on St David's Day at St Peters Hall in Cardiff (more about this in due course) and the welcome arrival of Spring after a very long, wet and windy winter, we just wanted to send you a quick update as Walk on Wales 2013 draws to a close.

Last Call for Donations

We are pleased to let you know that we continue to receive collections and donations from many different sources, ranging from individuals who walked with us, to pubs and cafes who supported us along the way. The Walk truly was a wonderful community effort.

All affairs relating to the Walk are now being drawn to a close, prior to the presentation of cheques to our two charities in May. It is now the last opportunity to pay in any funds that you have collected to the Virgin Giving site which will close next week on Monday 31 March. Can all cheques for Walk on Wales please be sent to the office at Walk on Wales, 4/5 Centre Court, Main Avenue, Treforest Industrial Estate, Pontypridd CF37 5YR as soon as possible.

Our sincere thanks to everyone for their fantastic support.

A Gentle Stroll up Snowden....

Having been bitten by the walking bug, it was great to see that Rob, Julia and Dennis (all members of Team 9) met up with Mike Hillen and Lou Pooley to walk up Snowden earlier this month. Unfortunately they were unable to complete their challenge due to high winds up the mountain, but are going to try again in the autumn later this year. Keep an eye on Facebook if you are interested in joining them!
