Life After the Walk...

Since the end of the Walk we have been keeping very busy. Whilst some are contemplating our next event.....Jan and Birgit have been particularly busy putting together this stunning Walk on Wales 2014 calendar. Packed with fantastic photographs from the Walk, each month will bring a smile as the memories come flooding back. The calendars are now on sale for £10.00 including p & p on eBay (please click on the link) and are available for immediate despatch. Not only is it a wonderful momento, but it will make a great Christmas present!

End of Walk Dinner in Cardiff

A huge thank you to Dominic Lonergan who, with fantastic support from his wife Sian and daughters Gabrielle and Olivia, organised the amazing 'End of the Walk Dinner' in Cardiff on 8 November. The marquee at Cardiff Arms Park was absolutely packed with 460 people enjoying a wonderful evening. It was a memorable and fitting way to celebrate the end of the Walk and the dinner raised an incredible £15,100 for Walk on Wales...WOW! Sincere thanks also to everyone who generously donated auction and raffle prizes for the event.

We were delighted to welcome Katie Louise Sheridan from North Wales who sang beautifully for us and has raised over £500 for Walk on Wales from sales of her CD Hedfan Angel.  A massive thank you from us all.

Our thanks also to the amazing Lydia Baylis and her brilliant band who came from London to perform for us and who had us all up and dancing to her great music, we could have danced all night!

Schoolhouse Daycare

A million thanks to Mandy Bennett and all her staff at Schoolhouse Daycare for their fantastic and inspirational fundraising efforts. Not only were they Day Sponsors for three days of the Walk, but by holding other events and many of the staff walking with us on several occasions, they were able to present us with a cheque for £7,000.00. Absolutely brilliant, thank you.
