SKILLS PROGRAMS
BEGINNERS: K–3rd grade. The basic fundamentals of the game will be taught and reinforced through fun games. All girls in K-1 grade should sign up for the beginner program. Also, girls in 2nd-3rd grade who have never played field hockey before, should sign up for beginners. Girls will be separated into groups by age.
ADVANCED BEGINNERS: 2nd–4th grade. Basic skills will be reviewed and more advanced concepts such as moving off ball will be introduced though drills and game play. The hour will be divided into 30 mins of skill work and 30 mins of 6v6 game play.
INTERMEDIATES: 4th–6th grade. All players should have 2 years of experience or be in 5th-6th grade. Players will practice skills during the 1st 30 mins of the session and spend the last 30 mins in 6v6 game play.
ADVANCED PLAYERS: 6th–8th grade. All players should have 2-3 years of experience and have played on a middle school team or program. The entire hour of play will be dedicated to skill work and game concepts. Advanced players are encouraged to participate in the 6th-8th grade league which will directly follow this skills session.

LEAGUE PLAY: 6TH-8TH GRADE TEAMS
Each team will play 10, 40 minute games over the course of the winter indoor league scheduled from Saturday, Nov. 15th through Saturday, Feb. 7th (no games over Thanksgiving or Winter Break). Game Times will be between 11am-1pm.
Format for games is 6v6 field players plus a goalie. Teams should have 10-12 players, and a mix of 6th-8th grade players on each team. All players need to sign up individually and if planning to play on a particular team, the team name should be entered in the notes section of registration. If you do not indicate a particular team when registering, we will place your daughter on an open team.
