Summer Camps Reports!

We had a great time with camps this summer from the first day of Theatre Camp to the Celebration of Colossal Coaster World on Sunday, July 21st!

For those of you who like numbers, here are a few interesting stats regarding average attendance:
Theatre, 97 kids
Soccer, 87 kids
Basketball, 62 kids
Football, AM   10    PM 10
Baseball, AM    38    PM 15
Cheerleading, AM   29    PM  16
Colossal Coaster, 57 kids

Overall, over 300 different kids came to our camps representing 191 families in our community. If we charged just $50 per camp with the above 421 registrations, we saved our community over $21,000!

But the most exciting news of all is that 51 kids made a commitment to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! Praise the Lord!

We are also proud that we had over 50 volunteers running our camps, not including the wonderful assistance for Football, Baseball and Cheerleading from Zion Baptist Church in Henderson, Kentucky.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for 82nd Street Theatre's production of Winnie the Pooh KIDS and for Tim as he co-directs the show.

  • Pray for Tim as he continues to share Christ with those around him. Pray for wisdom and boldness.
  • Pray for TJ and Josh as they start a new semester at Cedarville University August 16th.
  • Pray for Sarah as she starts her Junior year at High School and continues in Band and other interests.

Family Corner

It's August and amazingly enough the weather around here has been bearable! Our family is winding down summer activities. Summer Camps are over, TJ is almost ready to return to Cedarville University, Sarah has started band practices again, and Josh is getting ready to leave for Cedarville for his first year at College. Whew! Is it that time already?
Tim is going to co-direct Winnie the Pooh KIDS at 82nd Street Theatre this year, and we have invited camp families back for an end of the camps bash at the end of the month.
We are excited to meet the challenge of reaching families for Jesus. Thank you for your prayers and partnership in this adventure!
Your prayers are sweet to us. God bless you as you pray and give.

Partner Support

What is partner support?
As a Mission Service Corps Missionary I provide my own support financially. That support comes from partners who provide monthly support for our ministry or one time financial gifts.
Partners are just that. We partner in ministry doing something you would not be able to do on your own. We provide you with monthly updates on the ministry (like this newsletter) and what is happening next.
 Where does the money go?
Every dollar donated comes to me in the form of a salary. Money goes directly to the North American Mission Board into my account. As long as I serve as a Mission Service Corps Missionary, all the donations to my account come directly to me.
What is the accountability structure?

As a Mission Service Corps Missionary I am accountable to the North American Mission Board and to my supervisor for the work that I do.
What do you do?
I am an Evangelism Catalyst in North Royalton, Ohio and Strongsville, Ohio. I am seeking to provide evangelistic ministry and activity to plow the ground for future church planting work. I currently serve with 82nd Street Theatre, a children's community theatre ministry, Fundamentals Camps (summer camps for kids), and Vacation Bible School. I work through Abundant Life Community Church, a Southern Baptist Congregation in North Royalton, Ohio and Pastor Rocky Taylor is my supervisor.

How to become a partner?

We continue to seek financial partners who will give $50, $100, or some other amount monthly. You can partner with us financially if you are not already doing so.
You can also share with us the names and information (email and phone #) of individuals that would be excited to hear of the Lord's work here. If you send us the information, we will make a contact to see who God wants to partner with us.

You can give to our ministry at this site. Just click on the "Give Now!" button.

If you know of someone who would like to learn more about what we do, email us their information!
