Saving the Show… Finding Love and Acceptance
The word that best described his time with the cast of Beauty and the Beast was Love… Cody went on to use the letters of the word to say he was Lured from bad company to good company…Overwhelmed by love and acceptance… able to Vanquish the past… and felt the love from Everyone. This testimony came from this young man that had joined the cast with only two weeks left to prepare and perform the lead role of Gaston.
Yes, two weeks and few days before the show’s performance, the actor who was rehearsing to play Gaston broke his leg playing hockey. We scrambled and prayed during the week and by Friday had cast the role. Cody jumped into the role at Tech Rehearsal and knew most of his lines and songs by dress rehearsal the next day. God used Cody to “save the show†and God used the cast and crew to show Cody acceptance and love. What a powerful example of why we do what we do.
