The Fundamentals Summer Camps
Registration is Open!

The Fundamentals Summer Camps are FREE camps offered to the community for boys and girls going into the 1st through 6th grade. The Fundamentals Summer Camps are designed to teach children the fundamentals of each activity, while creating a safe and enjoyable experience for each child. The activities are for all children, boys and girls, ranging from the advanced to the beginner. Our goal is not only to develop them physically, but to encourage them emotionally, and help develop character.
Last year over 300 kids representing over 200 families came out to Fundamentals Camps. Over 100 of those kids came to multiple camps, and 90 kids were registered for Amazing Wonders Aviation Vacation Bible School with an average attendance of 63! We were very excited to have 23 of those kids come to the Celebration Worship Service on Sunday after VBS!

The camps and dates for this year are as follows:

June 10-13 Theatre Camp with 82nd Street Theatre
June 17-20 Soccer Camp
June 24-27 Basketball Camp
July 8-11 Baseball, Football, and Cheerleading Camp
July 15-18 Colossal Coaster World Camp

You can find out more about our camps at this website.

Evangelism Catalyst

We are so excited to announce a change in our ministry focus. Tim will continue to serve as a Mission Service Corps Missionary though the North American Mission Board as an Evangelism Catalyst. An Evangelism Catalyst is an individual connected to and sent from a local church focused on sowing the gospel among a people group, strategic place or affinity group that is unreached or under reached.  We will be working with 82nd Street Theatre and Fundamental Camps in the Summer to reach out to families in the North Royalton and Strongsville area.

As you know we have been involved with 82nd Street Theatre since we began with the mission. This is a fantastic ministry that reaches many un-churched families and helps them to take the next step spiritually in their lives. This ministry takes a lot of planning, preparation and hard work and yet it will probably never be a ministry that could afford a full time director. As a Mission Service Corps Missionary, I am able to give solid direction to the ministry and help reach kids and their families. My focus is moving to involvement in this ministry full time as our focal mission.
You are also aware that we were assisting in the planting of LifePoint Church in Strongsville, Ohio. Beginning in May 2013, leadership decided that we will not continue to pursue planting LifePoint at this time.

Since we will not be planting LifePoint Church at this time, I will be able to focus my energies on 82nd Street Theatre and the “Fundamental Camp” ministries at Abundant Life Community Church. I look forward to helping kids and their families take the next step spiritually in their lives through these ministries.
I am excited to be able to serve as we consistently touch the lives of the unchurched. 82nd Street has been able to perform at an after school program in one school district, at a local jr. high in another district we sought to assist a local Elementary School in Strongsville in their drama program resulting in making many connections into the community and seeing people come to know the Lord! Just last week two teens who got connected to the church through 82nd Street Theatre were baptized! Praise the Lord for the fruit that we see!

LifePoint Church

As I mentioned above, beginning in May 2013, leadership decided that we will not continue to pursue planting LifePoint Church. Pastor Rocky Taylor shared a letter with the church. You can read that letter here.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for the Fundamentals Summer Camps!
  • Pray for Tim as he transitions to a new focus in ministry as an Evangelism Catalyst.
  • Pray for Tim as he continues to share Christ with those around him. Pray for wisdom and boldness.
  • Pray for TJ, Josh and Sarah as they seek to serve Christ and get jobs this summer.
  • Pray for Josh as he graduates from High School and celebrates his accomplishment!
  • Pray for Debbie as she continues to manage our family's busy schedule well.
  • Pray for health for us all.
82nd Street Theatre will once again co-sponsor the Fundamentals Theatre Camp in June. Teens from the Theatre's past shows will come and teach kids in grades 1-6 the fundamentals of theatre and at the end of the week we will have a show to put on!

In August we will once again audition for a fall show. We hope to announce this show officially in the next week or so! It will be a show featuring elementary kids and will perform the last week of September.

Family Corner

Josh Shamburger Senior PictureIts hard to believe it is already almost June! We are about to move into a very fast summer. It all starts next week as Josh graduates from High School. We are so proud of him and all he has accomplished in High School and we are excited that he is going to accomplish so much more as he goes to Cedarville University this fall. On June 9th we will celebrate with a party at our house from 3 PM to 8 PM. All of our prayer and financial partners are welcome to come. You can get more information here.
After we finish the graduation celebration we launch into a summer full of ministry through our Fundamentals Camps. TJ and Josh will be serving as missionaries at the camps and working other jobs to earn money for college. Sarah is not old enough to be a paid missionary but she will be serving at the camps as well this summer. She will also be working on getting her drivers license this summer. At the end of July, they will all attend youth camp (TJ as a counselor this year!) and then we get to the middle of August and we take the boys to college to begin another adventure. Whew! I know it will go by too fast!

Thank you so much for your prayers, God really does work through the prayers of His people!

WANTED: Partners in Ministry

We continue to pursue full time ministry by finding financial partners who will give $50, $100, or some other amount monthly. Currently Tim works a part time job 20-30 hours a week which includes benefits and also substitutes teaches 2 days a week. Debbie works 20-30 hours a week outside the home as well.
God has used these and other sources of income to provide for us in amazing ways and we are grateful! However, we believe that God has called us to full time ministry and we continue to pursue the day we can serve full time again.
One way you can help us do that is to partner with us financially if you are not already doing so. You can also share with us the names and information (email and phone #) of individuals that would be excited to hear of the Lord's work here. If you send us the information, we will make a contact to see who God wants to partner with us.

You can give to our ministry at this site. Just click on the "Give Now!" button.

If you know of someone who would like to learn more about what we do, email us their information!
