Mid Summer 2013

The Fundamentals Summer Camps
Wow! It's hard to believe we have made it through half the summer already! Fundamentals  Camps are our main strategy to reach the community during the summer. We will minister to almost 400 kids from 185 families. over 50 of those families attend church less than once a month and of those, 23 families have no church affiliation at all. Please pray as we continue to invite these families to experience church at Abundant Life Community Church through VBS Celebration Sunday (July 21), a Back to School Bash/End of Summer event on Sunday, August 25th and church every week.

Here are some highlights from the camps:
Theatre Camp
Sarah shows a bit of costuming flair as she teaches in the costuming station at Theatre Camp!

We started with 98 kids attending Theatre Camp and over 20 volunteers. What a great camp that ended with some great performances at the end of the week. 18 children chose to follow Jesus this week!
Josh leads the Bible Station at Theatre Camp.

Soccer Camp
Soccer Camp followed with over 90 kids excited every day.  20 plus volunteers helped at this camp as well including some of the girls soccer team from Lutheran West HS
12 kids chose to follow Jesus at Soccer Camp.
We also had a great "Camp Breakfast" on Saturday with over 100 people there to see Otto Orf, former Cleveland Force Goalie.
TJ leads the Bible Station at Soccer Camp.

Basketball Camp
Basketball camp saw over 60 kids come out to participate. Although we had to cancel the last day of camp because of rain, we had about 40 people at the camp breakfast on Saturday and we had former Cleveland Cavalier Jim Chones there.

We still have two camps to go:
July 8-11 Baseball, Football, and Cheerleading Camp

Josh stands beside a K'NEX Roller Coaster he built to advertise our VBS

July 15-18 Colossal Coaster World Camp

You can find out more about our camps at this website.

Family Corner

July is upon us and more than half of our camps are over. Camps takes up much of the time of Tim, TJ, Josh and Sarah as they work in each one. Sarah has also done some band practice and marched in the Parade on July 4th. TJ also works another job some evenings. They all keep busy with various other ministries as well.
This month in addition to Football, Baseball, and Cheerleading Camp and Vacation Bible School, all three kids will also go to youth camp. (TJ will go as a counselor this year!)
We will all be winding our summer down soon and TJ and Josh will be off for Cedarville University sooner than we wish.

As always, we thank you for your prayers. God is good and we see His wonders every day!

Partner Support

What is partner support?
As a Mission Service Corps Missionary I provide my own support financially. Right now, part of that support comes from part time jobs and the rest comes from partners who provide monthly support for our ministry or one time financial gifts.
Partners are just that. We partner in ministry doing something you would not be able to do on your own. We provide you with monthly updates on the ministry (like this newsletter) and what is happening next.
 Where does the money go?
Every dollar donated comes to me in the form of a salary. Money goes directly to the North American Mission Board into my account. The North American Mission Board then sends me my "paycheck" every two weeks. My pay is determined like most people by my supervisor. When I become fully funded, any excess funds would "rollover" in my account. This would compensate for partners leaving or other changes in giving. As long as I serve as a Mission Service Corps Missionary, all the donations to my account come directly to me.
What is the accountability structure?

As a Mission Service Corps Missionary I am accountable to the North American Mission Board and to my supervisor for the work that I do.
What do you do?
I am an Evangelism Catalyst in North Royalton, Ohio and Strongsville, Ohio. I am seeking to provide evangelistic ministry and activity to plow the ground for future church planting work. I currently serve with 82nd Street Theatre, a children's community theatre ministry, Fundamentals Camps (summer camps for kids), and Vacation Bible School. I work through Abundant Life Community Church, a Southern Baptist Congregation in North Royalton, Ohio and Pastor Rocky Taylor is my supervisor.

How to become a partner?

We continue to pursue full time ministry by finding financial partners who will give $50, $100, or some other amount monthly. Currently Tim works a part time job 20-30 hours a week which includes benefits and also substitutes teaches 2 days a week. Debbie works 20-30 hours a week outside the home as well.
God has used these and other sources of income to provide for us in amazing ways and we are grateful! However, we believe that God has called us to full time ministry and we continue to pursue the day we can serve full time again.
One way you can help us do that is to partner with us financially if you are not already doing so. You can also share with us the names and information (email and phone #) of individuals that would be excited to hear of the Lord's work here. If you send us the information, we will make a contact to see who God wants to partner with us.

You can give to our ministry at this site. Just click on the "Give Now!" button.

If you know of someone who would like to learn more about what we do, email us their information!
