School Safety: Best Practices in Pennsylvania Threat Assessment
Facilitated by Terri A. Erbacher, Ph.D.
Build an effective, equity-focused threat assessment team this spring!

As part of Pennsylvania Act 18 requirements, all school entities are tasked with building a threat assessment team of at least three people by the fall of 2021. Schools that adopt a comprehensive, intervention-based approach to addressing serious threats have been shown to successfully reduce risks to both potential victims and perpetrators.

This spring, the CCIU, along with Terri Erbacher, Ph.D., is offering a training on two occasions to ensure that your school team has the opportunity to understand and adopt threat assessment practices that foster safe and supportive school environments, characterized by mutual trust and respect, parent involvement and collaboration between school and community.
