May is National Physical Fitness and Sports month! 

We use this month to raise awareness about the benefits of physical fitness as well as share fun ideas to get moving!

Suitable for: anyone who has a pelvic floor and might be experiencing issues including incontinence, constipation, hip or low back pain, and more (see the full list below). Also suitable for those who want to learn about pelvic health to prevent any issues.

Pelvic health issues are common, but that doesn’t mean they are normal. Many people are suffering in silence with these issues that could be easily resolved or improved.

When we talk more about pelvic health, we learn that it is really simple to make improvements using breath, movement, and alignment. This information is empowering!

In this 4-hour workshop, Shannon will show you how to activate and relax your ‘true’ core 4 (diaphragm, pelvic floor, transversus abdominis and multifidus) so that they work in synergy to serve you.

Men and women of all ages are welcome to attend. We talk about how yoga for pelvic health (along with pelvic floor physiotherapy) can help with:

* Urinary urgency/frequency
* Incontinence (urinary and fecal)
* Constipation
* Painful intercourse
* Interstitial cystitis (painful bladder syndrome)
* Endometriosis
* Issues with pregnancy or postpartum recovery
* Scar tissue
* Prolapse of the bladder, bowel or uterus (POP – Pelvic Organ Prolapse)
* Infertility
* Back or hip pain
* Diastasis of the rectus abdominus (DRA)

No previous yoga experience is required to attend this workshop. We have yoga mats available or you can bring your own. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Feel free to bring along a snack and any drinks you would like.

Our April Spin/Yoga session was so fun! Throughout the month of May, we are offering Spin/Yoga classes Wednesday evenings at 6:30-8: 15 pm! This is a pre-paid session for the month. Please call 519-534-6000 for more information.

We are also offering spots for the yoga portion of the Wednesday night spin/yoga class. The yoga portion will include essential oils and yoga assists, both great for mind body and spirit.

NEW!!! WFC will have a Personal Trainer on site. Find blocked times on our group class schedule where our Personal Trainer will be at the gym available to help with questions and exercises. This NEW service is complimentary to all members. We encourage everyone to come and use this service, WFC wants to help support everyone's success! Blocked times for May are Saturday mornings from 8-9 am.

Having troubles accessing the gym? 
  • Enter  4 digit code in door keypad , LED should turn green and lock should beep.
  • Turn thumb knob on key pad counter- clockwise  ( to the left ) to unlock.
  • Swipe key card from the top down with the bar code facing to the left.
  • Bar code reader should beep, LED turn orange,  then push door open. ( If LED goes Red then that persons account is delinquent.)
( The keypad lock and the swipe card bar code reader both have a time delay on them that re-locks the door if that function is not completed in a certain time period, 5-8 seconds, which is why they need  to be completed in the proper order and in a timely manor)
To exit …
  -If dead bolt on door is locked, turn it clockwise, to the right, to unlock.
   -Push RED button to the left of the door handle to release the lock.
  • Pull door open
