It's that time of year again...leaves are starting to change, cooler temperatures make hiking much more comfortable and the CMC Annual Dinner and the Lark in the Park are just around the corner!   Read all about it!

The Catskill Mountain Club’s Annual Dinner – 10th Anniversary Edition!

Please join us to celebrate 10 wonderful years of promoting non-motorized outdoor recreation in the Catskills. We've built four new trails and maintained countless miles of existing trails.  From paddling the Pepacton to biking the rail trails, we’ve been hosting events and nurturing a generation of outdoor enthusiasts for the past ten years. 

This year’s dinner will feature a presentation by Carol and David White, authors of Catskill Day Hikes for all Seasons, Catskills Peak Experiences, and Women with Altitude. They will be speaking on their extensive adventures here in our beloved Catskills.

In addition CMC Founding Board Member and first President, Chris Olney, will be honored at this event.

As if all that wasn't enough, we also have great raffle prizes -- we have another recreational kayak suitable for the NYC reservoirs to raffle off, as well as a pair of MSR Women’s Lightning Ascent Snowshoe  25” or MSR Lightning Ascent 30" Snowshoes,  a Sevylor Ranger Inflatable Kayak, Jack Mesick artwork and more.  

Don’t miss it! The Catamount Restaurant at the Emerson Resort has a rustic ambiance perfect for this celebration of the great outdoors. Seating is limited so reserve your tickets today!

It's time to Lark in the Park again!

The Catskills Lark In The Park is right around the corner. Featuring events from Sundown to North-South Lake, there are fun opportunities for folks of all ages and experience levels to enjoy. Hike, paddle, bike, camp -- there are so many great events planned for October 4th to the 13th.  There are 35 events on the calendar now and we're still adding more!

After enjoying the great outdoors all day, catch a screening of “To Be Forever Wild” Saturday October 4th at 7 PM.   This hour long documentary about the Catskills will get you primed for the rest of our events!

GET OUT YOUR BLAZE ORANGE! 
Hunters and hikers can share the woods safely as long as we both do our part. Expect hunters in the woods on public lands for the next few months. Bear season is currently underway and deer and small game seasons will be underway shortly. Wear blaze orange and make sure all pets also wear blaze orange.
