SEARCA, REAP Sign Memorandum of Understanding for Institutional Cooperation

SEARCA and the Resource and Environmental Economics Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. (REAP) has teamed up to collaborate on a number of activities for five years, including programs, projects, and other related activities to education, training, and research in agriculture and environmental science.
Among the pioneer collaborations of REAP and SEARCA was the 1st Philippine National Conference on “Health, Environment and Economic Development: The Road to Recovery and Resiliency (HEED the 3Rs) which was conducted on November 19-20, 2020. The Conference gathered researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and other representatives from disciplines of health, environment, economics, and other related fields wherein experts discussed the latest progress and developments in areas related to COVID-19.

Cambodia determined to combat climate change with clear and effective strategies

Cambodia is committed to fighting against climate change with clear and effective measures and strategies, although Cambodia has less greenhouse gas emissions at the global level. EU, France to help Vietnam towns strengthen climate resilience

The EU and the French Development Agency have signed an agreement with Vietnam to help five of its north-central towns reduce their vulnerability to climate hazards. The program, called Climate-Resilient Urban Infrastructure in north-central Vietnam (CRUIV), comes in the context of the recent devastation caused by natural disasters in central Vietnam. Read more…

Renowned people in the field of climate action graced the virtual “Climate Science Master Class for High School Teachers” to share about climate education as part of the activities for the 4th National Climate Change Conference (NCCC) and the 13th Annual Global Warming and Climate Change Consciousness Week celebrated last month. SEARCA's Knowledge Center on Climate Change Adaptation in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management in Southeast Asia (KC3) aims to contribute to strengthening the capacity of Southeast Asians in climate change adaptation, specifically within the domains of agriculture and natural resource management.
