THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS HAS BEEN EXTENDED
Building on the wealth of experience of the School-plus-Home Garden Project (S+HGP), a banner program of the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), the School-plus-Home Garden cum Biodiversity Enhancement Enterprise (SHGBEE) centers on ‘BioAgversity,’ or the synergy of food and nutrition security, sustainable agriculture, and biodiversity.
With this background, SEARCA in close collaboration with the Regalo ng Kilit Foundation is convening the First International Conference on School plus Home Garden cum Biodiversity Enhancement Enterprise (SHGBEE1) on 8-12 November 2022 in Coron, Palawan. The Conference aims to provide a platform for sharing of experiences and best practices related to school and home gardens and its contributions to biodiversity enhancement in the Southeast Asian region.

Indonesia deepens renewables push

Minister highlights role of education in climate change fight at UN meet
Minister of Education, Youth and Sport Hang Chuon Naron led a delegation to attend the Transforming Education Summit, held this year at the UN headquarters in New York under the theme “Greening Education Partnership: Climate Change Education”. The ministry said the summit aims to study solutions and provide recommendations based on evidence and that incorporate the latest innovations while identifying priority activities for transforming the education system. Farmers encouraged to engage in sustainable forest, farm production
Small-scale farmers provide an estimated one third of global food output but are facing increasing fiercely climate conditions such as droughts, storms and floods, necessitating measures to boost sustainable development to cope with climate change, experts said at an international conference opened in Hanoi. The two-day conference served as a venue for experts and forest and farm producer organisations (FFPO) to share experiences and discuss measures to cope with climate change while improving the livelihood of local residents.
