Our guest will be Laura Petit, Ulster County Legislator (District 8) who will give us an update on the first in-person legislative session where our County Executive apparently blindsided the legislature with a pre-determined use of American Rescue Plans funds. Related article here. These decisions affect all of us and the local issues we care about, so join in to learn more.
Now that the county has witnessed the full force of GOP obstructionism, we'll also continue full force with For the People Act actions, including our rally next Monday. Sign up if you haven't already. For those who are not on Facebook (where we do post the latest and greatest), the Kingston Common Council and Ulster County Legislature recently sent letters of support for S.1 to U.S. Senate leadership. Hats off to Lyn Delliquadri for getting these done! These letters follow resolutions by the Town and Village of New Paltz, initiated by Tom Denton.
