Last week, Russ Muse taught from Galatians 2:20-21.  Here are some key points:
  • We need to keep the gospel simple. If we try to add rule-keeping to it, Christ didn't need to die.
  • We tend to think functionally, "Jesus died for my sins." A more accurate perspective is "I am crucified with Christ."  I no longer live life on my own terms.
  • Christ lives in me. I am united with Christ like He is with the Father.
  • When united with Christ and walking in step with Him (and paying attention), we will see Him at work in the little things ... He will guide us, and we will see "God things."
  • Create ways to break habits that keep you from depending on God.
Homework:  Do you tend to think in terms of "Christ died for my sins" or "I have been crucified with Christ"?  Write out "I have been crucified with Christ" a few times this week to help that sink in.

Our #churchfamily ROCKS!

Thank you to everyone who has helped us get our new church database/communication tool up and running.  We used it for check-in for the first time on Sunday, and it went very smoothly. Here's what's coming next:
  • We will be contacting you individually to fill in any other gaps of info (e.g. birthdays, anniversaries, email addresses.)
  • We are looking for a few volunteers to be check-in specialists on a rotating basis (a subset of our new A-Team). This would involve a 30-minute (9:40-10:10) commitment, one Sunday a month (or less, depending on the number of volunteers). The system will already be set up and easy for you to use.
  • Easter Sunday will be picture day! See the Beutlers to get your family/individual photos taken to be uploaded to the system. (We will text them to you, too!)

Easter is Coming!

Easter is Sunday, April 4. It will be our first Easter in the new building!  We will be enjoying communion together with individually packaged elements. We suggest that those who plan to watch online prepare elements at home that you can use to receive communion with us in spirit.

We will also be taking pictures that day (hopefully outside), so please be sure to see Beth and Keith Beutler on the back patio by the parking lot as you leave the service to get your family/individual photos taken to be uploaded to the church database and for your enjoyment! Online family? Send a photo to!

New Dream Team: The A(dmin)-Team

Do you have the gift of administration? Enjoy keeping up with operational details? Have a heart for creating clear and accurate communication for our church family? Consider yourself tech-savvy? We’re creating a new Dream Team - The A-Team - to help us in a variety of admin tasks from helping with check-in to creating/proofreading social media and email communications, to maintaining data integrity in our Rock system and more.  Many tasks can be done virtually from home. If you are interested in learning some of these skills so that you can lend a hand routinely and/or be a backup, reply to this email.
