Record participation expected

With over 1000 delegates registered, 70 speakers and 112 exhibitors, this will be the highest attended EIP Water conference to date. A rich programme awaits participants, as you can read below. Here is how to connect to the event via social media: #EIPWater2017, @PortoWaterIW, @EIP_Water

Rich conference

8 lively sessions over two days with some 70 speakers will enable both a debate on key issues and to get a taste for innovative solutions being developed to solve them. With over 60 panels and presentations on the agenda, delegates will experience the dynamism of the world of European water innovation and have lots of opportunity to follow-up with presenters in the exhibition, Innovation Hub and matchmaking programme.

Specialist meetings

A host of side-events are being run by the EIP Water Action Groups and partner organisations on September 26 and 29. Spaces are still available if you want to learn, contribute or find business and funding opportunities.

Side-meeting schedule

3-day exhibition

112 exhibitors will be showcasing their innovations from September 27-29, including a European Commission pavilion promoting the EIP Water Action Groups, adjacent to project exhibits from Horizon2020, EASME and Life.

In the TechTalks on the exhibition floor you’ll get the chance to learn about established products and services for a whole range of water challenges.

And in the Innovation Hub near the exhibition, a series of talk-show styled interviews will dive deeper into the work of the EIP Water Action Groups, technological and research centres, universities and private-sector R&D to discover what’s the next in water innovation.

SPLASH Innovation Stage

16 of Europe’s finest water innovations have made it to the final of SPLASH – the PWIW innovation competition and are hoping to win the grand prize on the SPLASH Innovation Stage within the venue.

Many of these innovators and a host of further start-ups will be exhibiting in the Start-Up Showroom near the stage.

B2B matchmaking

Connect with business partners with our complimentary 3-day matchmaking service WaterMatch. Registration is open until September 23.

Innovation Dinner

On September 27, the magnificent Palácio da Bolsa will be our exclusive venue for a special evening together in the halls of the Porto Chamber of Commerce. See where pioneering adventures were decided upon and help the World Smile Association, to whom all funds will be donated.

You’re also warmly invited to a Welcome Reception being held from 7pm on September 26 in the old market hall downtown, as well as the Networking Breakfast from 9am on September 27 looking out over the Douro river in the conference venue.
