Use EIP Water content in your own database and website

With some 635 organisations, over 2000 projects, 300 innovative products and 2400 water experts, the marketplace is a wealth of resources for water innovators. Since April we have made it easier for other databases and websites to use the wealth of data with open XML and RSS interfaces, and invite anyone interested to do so! Our “help” function will show you how (“import/export of content”)

Water, Energy & Food Security Resource Platform: Regional Nexus Dialogues

An important global hub for information exchange, the Nexus Resource Platform is fostering regional dialogues with Africa (Niger, Nile, Senegal rivers), Latin America (case studies in Costa Rica and Peru), Central Asia, Neighbourhood & Mekong and encourages interested parties to join them:

EIP Water at key UK Innovation events

EIP Water was promoting its work and the Porto Water Innovation Week at both the WRc Innovation Day in Swindon on April 26, and the SWAN - Smart Water Networks Forum  in London from May 9-10.

2017 EIP Water Conference themes announced

Join us and some 600-700 delegates in Porto on September 27-28 to learn about, debate, question, strategise and resolve the 6 key conference themes:
  1. Water and the Circular Economy – Closing the loops
  2. The Water Business – Markets, Opportunities and Employment
  3. Developing Water Innovation – How R&D centres, innovation hubs and accelerators help solve European water sector challenges
  4. Innovations for implementing EU water legislation

  6. Social Engagement, Driving Innovation and Governance – towards a market-driven approach

LIFE Paint-it - A new environment-friendly manufacturing approach for marine antifouling coating

The LIFE Paint-it project is demonstrating a new manufacturing process at the pre-industrial scale capable of producing safe and innovative high-quality anti-fouling paints for naval applications – keeping ships efficient and operable, reducing toxin pollutants and environmental impact.

City Blueprints work major part of Urban Water Atlas

The Urban Water Atlas, presented to Commissioner Vella recently, is a complete panorama of water management in European cities. In it, the City Blueprints index benchmarks over 40 cities with Amsterdam coming out on top of the 25 KPIs.

RTWQM heavily involved in conference on “Water in the circular economy – innovations for urban water treatment”

R3 Water final conference (May 30 in Brussels) will demonstrate innovations that are turning wastewater treatment into resource factories for irrigation, saving energy and recovering resources.

On April 7, Prof. Aurora Seco from the Water Circle Action Group was awarded an Innovation Deal to transform sewage works into resource recovery factories by Commissioners Vella and Moedas.

Become a future water leader!

The Water Innovation Lab Europe in Porto consists of a six-day programme (September 24 to 29, as part of the Porto Water Innovation Week) for 18-35 year olds who are passionate about water innovation issues, holistic thinking, innovative design and effective communication between cultures. At this innovation bootcamp, each participant will develop their skills in leadership, creativity, communication and employability. Applications are open until 5 June.

Porto Water Innovation Week – Porto, 24-29 September

Autumn will see 7 days of excitement as Porto hosts the 4th EIP Water conference as part of the Porto Water Innovation Week (PWIW). From September 24 - 30, some 800 water innovators from all over Europe converge on the "Invicta City", which was also recently named Best European Destination 2017 for the third-time.

There are three headline events:
  1. EIP Water Conference 2017 (Sep 27-28) -  bridging gaps in European water innovation 
  2. Mayors & Water conference (Sep 29) - furthering the Urban Water Agenda
  3. Water Innovation Lab (Sep 24-29) - shaping the new water leaders
