Many ways to help conference 2014: Innovation in the treatment and prevention of problem gambling
In October this year, the foundation will host a conference in Melbourne to support and drive innovation in the treatment and prevention of problem gambling.
The 'Many ways to help' conference is divided into two streams – treatment and prevention – and is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the dedicated people who work with Victorians affected by gambling.
The conference is by invitation only and will be free of charge. Clinicians and health professionals working with clients experiencing gambling problems in addition to staff from organisations working on foundation-funded local prevention projects are encouraged to attend.
Pre-conference full day master classes are also being offered on Tuesday 21 October to clinicians and health professionals in three areas of treatment: exposure therapy, working with affected others, and feedback informed therapy.
