Cross-sector collaboration

In partnership with the Bouverie Centre, the foundation has published a background paper and a set of practice guidelines to support and encourage cross-sector collaboration between Victorian health and welfare services.

Background paper on cross sector collaboration:

Written by the Bouverie Centre, Cross-sector collaboration: Implications for Gambler’s Help outlines a compelling case for cross-sector collaboration by drawing on numerous Australian and international case studies where successful outcomes have been achieved. As people with gambling problems often experience co-occurring conditions such as other health and social problems, this review suggests a more integrated and collaborative response will assist agencies and staff to deliver a more integrated, holistic and efficient service to Victorians affected by gambling.

Practice guidelines for cross-sector collaboration:

To assist agencies to participate in cross-sector collaboration, the Bouverie Centre has developed a set of practice guidelines with the foundation and in consultation with Victorian Gambler's Help services.

The Practice guidelines for cross-sector collaboration between health and welfare agencies and Gambler's Help outline five principles for collaboration and provide practical examples of creative ways in which Victorian Gambler's Help services have implemented effective cross-sector collaboration within the broader health and human services system.

More information and additional case studies are available on the foundation’s website.
