Countdown to Pub Day!

We're only a little over a month away from Pub Day - April 18th! It's really getting real now!
Join me and others reading at Point Reading Series in Providence.

My book launch party is at the Armory in East Greenwich, RI on April 25th. The link for (free) tickets is now up - come for a college keg party with a DJ playing 80s music.

Author Caroline Leavitt's Blog

We're finally in the year when my book-baby will be released into the world! My dream-come-true year. I was thrilled to be featured on CarolineLeavittville, Caroline Leavitt's Blog.

If you think it’s too late to go for your dream, you’re wrong. I took the circuitous path to write FORKS, KNIVES, AND SPOONS but I can now proudly say, I am a debut novelist.

I mulled and pondered how to take the concept of labeling guys as forks, knives, and spoons and turn it into a story for literally decades before ever writing more than a few notes. Read more

Book Buzz
Join My Head Talker Campaign

You probably had never heard of Head Talker - I hadn't until being in the thick of book promotion. Once I hit my target of 75 supporters, my message will go out on the same day and time across all of those people's chosen social media outlet(s). Please support my campaign, if I don't meet my stated goal, the campaign won't run.

If you're out and about, I would appreciate if you could ask your local library and local bookstores to order the book. It’s available for them to order through Ingram Publisher Services (they may ask). THANK YOU!

Book and Wine Pairing
The Young Wives Club
By Julie Pennell

I'm happy to share this book by fellow debut novelist Julie Pennell. We are both a part of an amazing group of authors called 17Scribes (find us on Facebook).

The Young Wives Club follows young wives, Laura, Madison, Claire and Gabrielle in Toulouse, Louisiana. "As these young wives come together to help each other through life, love, and heartbreak, they discover that there are no easy answers when it comes to matters of the heart."

We've paired this book with a sparkling wine in honor of the wedding theme of the book. Julie suggested an inexpensive bubbly: "I say inexpensive because the characters are not frilly or fancy in any way."

The Savory Grape Wine Shop selected a Spanish sparkling wine,
Biutiful Cava Brut Nature, to pair with The Young Wives Club. "This Cava is stunning & wonderfully dry. Full of citrus & almond notes." While this may still be too fancy for the young wives in the book, we think you'll enjoy it as much as reading this charming and fun debut.
