I love meeting other authors and make an effort to connect online and in person. In November, I had the treat of meeting Chris Bohjalian in Connecticut at my favorite library - Groton Public Library - and just finished his newest book, THE GUEST ROOM, what a story!
Every month, I attend the Point Street Reading Series in Providence, RI
and have a blast meeting many new writers and seeing authors I've met before or only through social media.
Last month it was so great to meet Amy Poeppel whose book, SMALL ADMISSIONS, is out this month. We have had many late night messaging sessions and chats via email and Facebook so it was terrific to give her a hug. Also at Point Street, I met Georgia Clark (THE REGULARS), Juliette Fay (TUMBLING TURNER SISTERS), Kate Moretti (THE VANISHING YEAR) and Wendy Walker (ALL IS NOT FORGOTTEN). I also enjoyed visiting with the dear Maddie Dawson (THE SURVIVORS GUIDE TO FAMILY HAPPINESS) and Holly Robinson (FOLLY COVE) who will be reading at December's event.
I'll be reading at Point Street on pub day - Join me there April 18th.
