Beer News & Tastings
Hi Everybody,
This is a tough one to write, but my wife advised me to just "tear the band-aid off" so that's what I'll do. You'll find info on this week's beers below, but let's get to the important stuff:
This is my last week at Arrowine. Saturday will be my last day.
With your support and enthusiasm, I've spent the past 3 1/2 years trying to establish one of the best (if not biggest) beer departments in the area, and to that end any success I've had has happened because you all were there to encourage it and help it grow.
I've loved my time at Arrowine, and thank Doug and Shem for giving me the freedom to explore and carry what I thought represented the best of what the modern beer industry has to offer. There's a lot I'm going to miss: I'm going to miss the tasting table; the mad scrambling every Thursday and Friday to get everything put away while holding conversations with as many of you as possible; writing the Newsletter. It's tougher than I thought it might be.
If you regularly attend beer events in the area, you'll be seeing me around--possibly even more than you do now. I'll even be stopping by Arrowine now and then to run the tasting table, when they'll have me.
But all things do end eventually, and this is no exception. Thank you for making this job fun. Thank you for supporting good beer. Thank you for indulging me with the pictures of my pets and dumb jokes and memes and horrible MS Paint work. For Logan, Storm, and myself; thank you. Goodbye for now.
