To all Linlithgow Development Trust Members and Supporters

Invitation to a Public Meeting & AGM

15th March, 2014
at Queen Margaret Hall, Blackness Road
Dear Members,

I wish to invite you to join us at our AGM on Saturday 15th March at 2pm in the Queen Margaret Hall on Blackness Road. We the Board are planning a widespread publicity campaign to advertise the day so I wanted to let you know first.

Kettilstoun
This is an exciting time and, as I write this, we have just had our first meeting to initiate the planning application process for Kettilstoun. There will be a formal planning consultation process so please watch out for further updates coming your way on that via our website, Facebook, Twitter and in the Linlithgow Gazette.

This is your opportunity to see what is planned and we would really welcome your comments and suggestions. It is a major project which could greatly improve sporting facilities in Linlithgow initially widening the provision of dedicated facilities for sports such as athletics, cycling, football, kayaking, etc.

Other Projects
As the Trust's various projects develop, we encourage support from the sectors of the community who could benefit most. Each project will always have the support of the board, but it will need wider/deeper participation not only to show support to funders, but also to help deliver the project and ensuring it always meets the needs of the community.
On the 15th we also plan to give you a flavour of other projects we are investigating and again invite your comments and suggestions. The formal AGM will then follow.

Your Trust Needs You!
The Trust relies on and is led by the community and it's members. We welcome people to come forward with a wide variety of skills – project management, financial/business expertise, IT, admin, sound common sense, marketing, etc. and look forward to sharing our vision for Linlithgow. Existing Board members will be there to chat and hear your views.

If you would like to join the board at the AGM, please read our vision document and get in touch: chair@trust-linlithgow.org.uk

Hope to see you on the 15th.

Work on the Kettilstoun project continues to progress, with the planning application process underway, and site feasibility and design nearing completion.  The proposed design includes specific facilities for athletics, cycling, football and kayaking, however also included is a multi-purpose area which could be used by other clubs if interested. Further details of the design will be presented at the AGM, however if you are a member of another sports club who could benefit from better training facilities, please contact us.
