Cheddar, Apple Pork Pie
Ingredients:
1 lb. sweet pork sausage (ground)
½ lb. ground turkey
1 Vidalia onion
2-3 Granny Smith apples
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
1 double pie crust
Directions:
- Cook sliced onions and meat in fry pan
- Add salt and pepper
- Prepare bottom crust
- Place 1/3 of meat mixture in crust
- Add layer of thinly sliced peeled apples
- Add layer of cheese (1/3 of recipe)
- Repeat 2 times
- Add top crust
- Bake at 425 for 20 minutes
- Then bake at 350 for ½ hour
Delicious!!
