The Property Market: Time to Sell

Photo of the sun shining over a grassy field

Good news for the property market this year with economic growth across the country having a positive impact on the housing market.
The Registers of Scotland’s Quarterly Report published earlier this month that the average price of residential property in Scotland rose by 3.5% during the April to June Quarter of this year. Even so, there is still a noticeable shortage of property on the market, with demand for affordable housing outstripping supply. This is reflected in average selling time for sales in West Fife and Kinross - 12 days for KY11 8 postcodes and 28 days for KY12 postcodes respectively. With supply and demand dynamics favouring sellers - we would reinforce the message that if you are considering selling it is a prudent time to get all the facts to hand by arranging a free pre-sale valuation. If you would like to discuss your requirements with us - whether you wish to buy or sell, you can call us on 01383 620 222 or click here to email us with your enquiry.

Important news for investors

Chancellor George Osborne has announced plans to take stricter measures against the tax relief system for buy to let investors, with the aim of allowing buyers further access to affordable housing.  We are still seeing a booming rental market in Dunfermline making buy to let an increasingly attractive investment option.  Our experienced Lettings team are on hand to discuss investment options and we have a range of properties on the market to choose from. When considering investing we would recommend a complimentary consultation with us to enable us to assist in determining your needs.  Contact us on 01383 620 222 or email info@morganlaw.co.uk to arrange.
