Yep, Friday again!

Here’s a brief idea from me, and a few content recommendations that have the potential to shift your thinking in a significant way.

Every time I doubt myself, I almost always prove myself wrong. The task ends up being easier than I expected, and I do it better than most others would.

This is a reminder that action is the way out of self doubt. Force yourself to get started and the crappy self talk tends to quieten down.

How to Choose the Right Fast For You | Dr. Mindy Pelz (video – 14.40 mins)

This is an awesome overview of the benefits of different types of fasting. It re-sparked my commitment for fasting. I’m now fasting for 16 hours each day (only consuming water outside of 12PM and 8PM). I'm also planning to fast for 24 hours once per week (starting next week).

Brad Stulberg – Practices that support deep work (tweet)

This tweet caught my eye for two reasons. The ideas are simple and effective. It was also a nice nudge to improve how I align deep work blocks with my own personal energy cycles (mornings).

Nir Eyal -How to stay focused on what matters to you and become indistractable (podcast – 38.00 mins)

Some great gems in this one. The difference between traction and dis-traction, how important intention is, and the power of time-blocking (which is the foundation of how I organise my own time).

P.S The above podcast is hosted by a friend of mine, Roberta Lucca. It's the first episode from season 2 of her Hyper Curious Podcast. Well worth keeping an eye out for new weekly episodes!

Have a good weekend!
