The latest pawsome newsletter from the BorrowMyDoggy Team
August Newsletter

Afternoon Woofs!

Welcome to the August newsletter bringing you all the latest from the BorrowMyDoggy Kennel and across the doggy world.

We hope you have been enjoying the pawsome summer and have had lots of opportunities to frolick in the sun like these little guys. We have been busy spreading "Pawprints Of Happiness" and are excited to tell you about all the big developments that we have in store!

Since we last spoke...

BorrowMyDoggy has been busy rolling out our new automated system allowing owners to browse local borrower profiles and directly message them. Another exciting feature we've developed, thanks to your feedback, will allow borrowers to browse profiles of dogs in their area and favourite them. It’s great for owners too as they'll be notified when favourited so they know who in their area is super keen to give their doggy some extra walks and ear ruffles!

If you have not already been contacted regarding these new features, then keep an eye out for an email from us shortly.  Don't forget to keep your profile fully up to date as this will help your chances in the matchmaking process, keeping you at the front of the pack. High paws!

In addition to this, we asked all of our lovely Twitter followers to send us #DogDaysOfSummer photos. You can see some of these pawsome pictures and read more about the campaign on our blog. We will be featuring further Twitter and Facebook campaigns in the coming months so watch this space.

We have also been woofed about in Prima magazine and on the StyleTails website! Many thanks to both and a warm welcome to our many new borrowers, owners and dogs!

Woofs and tail wags!

Doggy of the month

Breed: Terrier Mix
About Elvis: Elvis is absolutely the coolest, funniest dog you'll ever know. He gives joy to all those who encounter him. He's very expressive, almost like a person. He's 12 years old but you would never know it because he still has the energy of a pup. Elvis misses his life-long companion Priscilla the Rottweiler and would really love new friends to play with. He loves life, walks, play fighting (soft mouth) and is good with kids.

Borrower of the month

Experience: I grew up with Labrador Retrievers. My friends laugh at me because I stop to pet every dog I see. For 2 years, I worked as a kennel attendant at a vet hospital because I was applying for vet school. I have also volunteered at 2 humane societies . I am have been a pet sitter for dogs, cats, and fish.
Why did you sign up? I am a dog lover. My husband and I would like to own our own dog but rent our flat. A running buddy would be fantastic! I am comfortable with medium to large size dogs. Dogs are full of love and happiness. Who wouldn't want to hang around with that? :)
