Almost 2 feet of new snow in Park City, Utah!
Happy December!

We're shoveling out from a whopper of a snowstorm yesterday afternoon/night/this morning. Salt Lake got a whopper last Monday. The snow stake at Snowbird disappeared last night (and the comments are A+, "just quit your job").

One of the best things to do in Park City after a huge snowstorm is to book yourself into Deer Valley's Fireside Dining. We're talking carving off the melty bits of giant wheels of Swiss Raclette cheese, placed precariously close to a roaring fireplace and serving it with cured meats and pickled things; basically my favorite assortment of foods. There are other stations of course of roasted meats and simmering pots but honestly, I'm good with 10 or 12 plates of that cheese and a bottle of wine.

The next book I'm excited to read is The Man Who Ate Everything. Has anybody read it? Winter is obviously a busy time of year here in the mountains, but is there anything more cliched and equally wonderful as sitting down with a fascinating book while the snow falls?

In car news, I drove a Tesla this month. What a machine! It looks like a very beautiful car but moves like a spaceship. Zero to 60 in 4.2 seconds and it doesn't move like a car. No gears, no growl, just a transporter with G-force. I also fell out of that same Tesla because they don't make noise when they move and anyways long story short I'm fine. Just, you know, be careful.

Also, you do know you can keep up with my adventures by visiting my blog, right? This month I visited 323 Park Ave, the restored Swedish Lutheran Church from Park City's mining days which is now for sale, and doled out some timely advice on driving in the snow/fighting zombies.

DEVELOPMENT NEWS :: 4 More Projects

It's been a while since we've had exciting new inventory. I now have FOUR developments to tell you about:

APEX: At Canyons Village, offering 63 residences, price range from $1.4M-3M+, 3-5 bd, ski-through, designed by the same firm that designed Stein Eriksen Residences (Fink Engineering, John Shirley).

RE:PLAY RESORTS: re:Play Resorts is the developer of Whistler Village and is working on a condo project and Canyons Village master plan that will be taking reservations this winter and converting to contracts this spring. Nothing official has been released; when I know, you'll know!

ONE Empire Pass: Newest development in Empire Pass, Deer Valley, in 6 years, East West project, 27 residences, 3-4 bd, direct-to-residence elevator access, option to join Talisker Club, $2.5M-4M+.

The Residences at 205 Main: 6 residences with private garages and elevators at the top of Main Street, penthouse-designed with unique floorplans, 3 bd/4 ba, $2.9M-3.6M.

Sotheby's LogoSotheby's International Realty is of course the real estate branch of the Sotheby's auction house.

I've said it before, Sotheby's auctions are amazing. If you're in New York, Paris, Hong Kong, or another glamorous city, you can bid at an auction house, live, *OR* if you are less pants-inclined, you can phone in or register to bid online from your sofa. The live auctions are something to see, and you can watch them live online. (The next live auction is Important Judaica, today, 10 AM to 5 PM EST.) And, if you have something interesting, the selling process is just as simple.

But, whether you are buying or selling or gawking, the collections of things that move through the gloved hands of Sotheby's ARE AMAZING.

New York just wrapped up the breathtaking collection, Wild Things: The Art of Maurice Sendak, including "Transformation: Moishe" pictured above. Here is part of his last interview, talking about life and death and the bliss of creating. I couldn't bring myself to pull one quote because they're all fantastic.

And for motoring enthusiasts, the RM Sotheby's partnership has brought unparalleled access to exotic and rare cars. These collector cars are significant advances in design, engineering, and gorgeous emblems of creating a machine not just to go, but to move. The next RM Sotheby's auction is at the end of January in Phoenix. In the meantime, bite the back of your hand and take a look at the most memorable cars from the 2015 auctions.
