Every morning the delivery vehicles line up at Shiloh Food, ready to load more than a thousand piping hot stews, fresh sandwiches and other treats. These meals are distributed to informal settlements and other areas to ensure full tummies and healthy nutrition throughout the Western Cape.

By taking the burden of sourcing and preparing food off their shoulders, we enable these organisations to focus on their core business – people.
Our food production plant is equipped with Industrial food processing equipment and walk-in freezers. To produce these meals, we use some 800 kg of potatoes and 600 kg of meat per month, not to mention the large quantities of veggies, rice, samp, lentils and dry beans. Sounds too good to be true? Then pop in to come and see for yourself!
We are entering a new phase in Shiloh Food, a phase of expansion and growth – feeding even more. It’s very important for us to reach all the organisations that cannot afford the R4.50 per meal as they are in most cases the ones that really serve in the coal-face with only the bare minimum. The only way that we can make meals available to them is if more companies and individuals take hands with us.
Thinking of sponsoring a meal? Keep this in mind…
Our Wish List -
- R10 will fill 2 tummies
- R 100 will fill 22 tummies
- R 5 000 will fill, wait for it… More than 1000 tummies! No donation is too small.
We rely on donated and sponsored food ingredients, packaging material, consumables, protective clothing, maintenance, and so forth. This helps us to keep costs down and thereby enables us to feed more needy people.
