BCHF Historical Writing Shortlist Announced

The shortlist for the 2014 BCHF Historical Writing Awards have been announced! Congratulations to all the finalists.

The winners will be announced at the British Columbia Historical Federation Conference Book Awards Reception on Saturday, May 23, 2014 at the Billy Barker Casino Hotel in Quesnel, BC.

Call for Member Society Reports

Notice to member societies: please submit your society reports in electronic format to BCHF secretary Judy Lam Maxwell by May 1, 2015. The society reports are printed and presented in a binder available for delegates to read at the conference. Delegates wishing to present a verbal report at the AGM will be asked to sign up prior to meeting.

2015 Heritage Legacy Fund

Deadline for applications is April 30, 2015

The Heritage Legacy Fund was established as an endowment from the Province of British Columbia in 2003 and held by the Vancouver Foundation. Grants are available for Heritage Conservation projects and Heritage Awareness projects. The grants support the conservation of heritage resources in British Columbia, as well as promote and increase public awareness, understanding, and appreciation of British Columbia’s heritage resources.

Registered non-profit societies, registered federal charities, local governments, self-governing First Nations, and School Boards are eligible to apply for funding.
