The Women's Council: August 2015 Newsletter
It’s hard to believe, but fall semester at CU is upon us.  Students start class on August 24. And with fall semester comes a flurry of Women’s Council activities and student events.

Also, our long-awaited Member Directory is now complete and will be distributed to all active Women’s Council members, faculty and student leaders starting this week.  Be sure to watch your inbox so you have everyone’s current bio and contact information.

I’m really looking forward to an amazing year of engagement in 2015/2016.  The WILD Committee is hard at work on a great WILD Summit for April.  Carolina and the Events Committee have loaded the calendar with student events.  And we now have almost 140 Women’s Council members ready to contribute their wisdom, experience and advice to help students succeed!

See you at an upcoming event,

Businesses of all types and sizes are encouraged to reach out to us. Projects typically run from October through March with teams of 4-5 MBA students working a combined 20-30 hours per month. If interested, please contact Maggie.Kinnard@colorado.edu and Brian.Krantz@colorado.edu for more information. September 1 is the goal for having projects determined.

LSIC is a student-run group at Leeds that has been providing local businesses with valuable help for the past 10 years. MBA students who are eager to get hands-on experience have worked with organizations on a variety of projects, including developing business plans, creating product-launch strategies, market-sizing, financial modeling, and much more.
