Summertime Fun!

RECREATIONAL BREWING!

Making your own fermentations is a fun pass-time; taking what you make on vacations to share with friends and family can make your adventures even more memorable!
Is your setup portable? Do you take bottles & kegs on a roadtrip? Ever tried putting together a beer, wine or mead while on the road? Like backpacking, with efficient packing and preparation you can make it happen!
And, unlike pet and plant care, your fermentations are usually good while you're away for a week or two! We'd love to hear about your summertime beer-cations, wine & meadery visits! Stop in and share your stories over a beer!

Tim Leber is coming to KC from Seattle to share his expertise on meadmaking with us. Tim is a longtime member of the KC Biermeisters (before moving to Seattle), and has been making mead, cider, beer, and wine since 1991. He is ranked as a BJCP National Judge, for Mead, Cider & Beer. He has medals from US and international competitions. He's also a frequent contributor to "Modern Mead Makers" Facebook Group. He'll be speaking on basic mead-making and equipment, and will answer questions.
We're getting a permit for sharing homemade meads in tents in our parking lot. And, we're reaching out to local mead-making celebrities to join us, and share their knowledge, too!
Attendance is $20, and includes a commercial mead tasting.

Like last year, we plan to have a mini-festival Awards Celebration in a tent in our parking lot, with several homebrewers serving their best examples of Belgian beers. There will be a special speaker to talk to us about aspects of brewing Belgian beers, and some highly coveted Belgian beers will be served (some available for bottle purchase). We'll include Belgian foods, too. We're excited that Duvel USA is partnering with us on this year's event!

LEARNING

SCHOOL'S OUT--FUN! Daytime Demos
Let us know if you have a group of neigborhood kids and adults that are looking for a cool,  indoor craft--and we can set an afternoon to make soda (such as rootbeer), or mozzarella.

FEATURED PRODUCT: BEER DISPENSE

We carry corny kegs, CO2, and draft hardware, so that you can serve beer at home.  You might want to make your beer portable--with a "jockey box"! These can also be rigged for commercial kegs. We can order your choice of cold plate or coil, from one tap to six.  We'll also explain how to clean, carbonate, etc.
See us for pricing and to order!
