May 2019 Edition

The month of April & May at W.TEC has been a busy one with back to back engagement which indeed has been impactful and fulfilling. Thus this gives us the pleasure to share with you our progress in breaking new grounds in April  and May.  
In April we marked the International ''Girls In ICT Day'' with an insightful forum on the success of Nigerian women  in the tech sector. The well attended event, held in conjunction with the United Nations Information Centre - Lagos and the United Nations Women - Nigeria. The event brought together Nigerian Women in technology, aspiring STEM undergraduates and secondary school girls to have a memorable discussion.

Applications Open For SheCreates - 2019 Camps

We are now accepting applications for the 4 - SheCreates Camps holding in 2019.

The 2-week STEAM camp for girls will hold in Lagos, Kwara and Anambra States from  July - September. Hurry now! Applications will close anytime, all  slots has been taken.

W.TEC Hosts 3rd Edition of Early Innovators Camp

W.TEC is set to host the 3rd edition of its tech camp for kids. The camp is a 2-week tech - fun learning experience  for kids, aged 5 - 10years will holding in Lagos State from  July - September

W.TEC - Academy, Extends Program From Ilorin to Offa

Additional schools at Offa will be joining our after school computer program for girls in Kwara State. The program which started in Ilorin will now be empowering  more girls with ICT skills.

Our Executive Director; Mrs Oreoluwa Lesi, organised and participated  in a session on ''internet governance'', at the  recently-concluded Digital Rights Inclusion Forum 2019 in Lagos, Nigeria.

An Alumnae Shares Her Dream Job Experience at W.TEC
One of our wonderful alumnae shares with us her magical experience working at W.TEC for her S.I.W.E.S internship. Miss Monsurat Oshinfisan was a participant of our film production workshop at her school in 2013, back then it was her dream to someday work at W.TEC to empower girls like herself. In 2018  that dream came true for a whole year.
