LIT was created because of the Las Vegas community. Thank you for the outpouring of support this past week. Though we are grateful no one in our LIT family was directly impacted, our thoughts and well-wishes are with those who were. Looking for a way to help? Check out United Way of Southern Nevada's list here (LIT's efforts pictured). Thank you Las Vegas for your love, perseverance and connectivity this week. #VegasStrong
Because of LIT's daily “Little Leaders” after school mentoring program with Futuro Academy, LIT occupies three suites at the Futuro Academy campus now running Year 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 Program (Cohorts 1+ to 5) at our own headquarters called the LIT Washington Center. Washington Center includes our first office and a college access community drop-in center for anyone to stop in and receive free college access and persistence support. Two simultaneous Year 1 Programs (Cohort 6) take place at LIT Charleston Center located at Goldfarb ES and Owens Center located at Heard ES at Marzano Academy.
3 staff members: Founder & Executive Director Erica Mosca, Program Manager Daniel Leyva & part-time Program Coordinator Nestor Sanchez (Cohort 1 member & UNLV sophomore)
