More on the door

When you step through the doorway of Islington Mill this New Year’s Eve you will be catapulted through a portal into the year 3014 where you will be blasted by a collection of the most forward thinking clubnights, promoters and DJs specially selected for you.
ROOM 1 - INTERGALACTIC LOUNGE

The decision has been made by the Great and Powerful that humans must leave planet Earth. Rather than mass escape and freaking out, the Advertising, PR and Marketing Departments have cottoned on to a wonderful idea. Real Estate! In the Intergalactic Lounge you will choose your destination from the solar system and beyond from an array of exciting planets on offer that you can call your new home.

Helping us prepare you for the journey will be Tranarchy, Chew Disco, Off with Their Heads and Neil Von Francis, with a special performance from Jsky channeling the energy of The 5th Element, and in a world of ‘Health and Safety gone mad!’ Air Hostesses will be on hand to guide you safely when the moment does come to begin the countdown for take off into space.
ROOM 2 - THE CHAMBER

In the Chamber mystics from the future; Gesamtkunstwerk, Haxan and Faktion, will be guiding you on a journey of epic proportions based around a multi-sensory otherworldly structure suspended from the depths of space, playing sounds of sonic exploration, outsider electronics and groundbreaking weirdness.

It will be dark

There will be strobes

There will be smoke

It will be intense.
ROOM 3 - BALEARIC BASE

It’s the year 3014, the planet has gone to pot, the forests have been destroyed and flooding has forced some people to live underwater, but on the plus side the constant barrage of nuclear war means that it’s always warm and sunny. Always. ALWAYS. IT’S NEVER ENDING.

This is right up some people’s street though and Stop Making Sense, Work Them and special guest Patrick Ryder (Piccadilly Records) are making the most of it and hosting a never ending Balearic, tops off party.

Think strobes.

Think beaches.

Think the sun never setting.
ROOM 4 - THE WORK OUT STATION

You know what sport we’ll all still be playing when we come out of our cryogenic chambers in 1000 years. Ping Pong. And to celebrate that fact we've got the inimitable Ping Pong Club to help us bring in the New Year at The Future Party.

The PPC chaps won’t quite have come to terms with the fact that it’s now 3014 and will be playing records and classic songs from the Noughties to bring you back a millennium with chill-out vibes, Ping Pong (of course) and who knows what else up their sleeves. If previous New Year shindigs are anything to go by expect UV lights, table dancers, tin foil, blackouts and lots of balls.
